We gather for Communion to remember our Saviour. We remember His death, burial, and resurrection. We remember how much we need His love, His grace, and His forgiveness. We look back, we look ahead and we look within.
We look back to the cross. We remember what Christ accomplished for us. And we are reminded of His love for us. We look ahead. The first time Jesus came to this earth, He came as the Suffering Servant. The next time, He will come as the Conquering King. Communion is an observance to remind us that Jesus will come again. We look within and ask the Holy Spirit to show us any areas of our lives where we need to grow and change to be the person God longs for us to be.
Communion at the bridge typically happens the first Sunday of the month.
