Kdizone COVID Update

Jan 27, 2022COVID-19

Dear Kidzone Families,

It is difficult to believe we find ourselves amidst strict social gathering limits, online learning, and constant pivots and changes to life as we enter this new year of 2022. It is not what we expected! It is certainly not what we wanted. We are weary and tired, but we place our HOPE in Jesus. We continue to lay our burdens at His ever-merciful and grace-filled feet. We pray for His comfort and peace for our hearts and minds each new challenging day. Rest assured, you have a church that faithfully prays for you and your children and lifts you before God each new day.

We wanted to provide you with an update on where we are at in terms of Covid-response measures in Kidzone. Our Kidzone Leadership Team and Covid-Response Team decided to pause in-person Kidzone until at least February 13. With the increase of the Omicron variant, and most children not having the option of full vaccination yet, we know that many families are hesitant to expose their kids to more people groupings. We also have many volunteers who are reluctant to serve in person right now or have had to isolate themselves due to exposure. So instead of going back and forth with unknowns each week, this allows us to settle into the new year by having ALL our kids start online for January. We are grateful to God that we felt led by the Spirit to begin this new school year with our Online Kidzone Konnection groups that meet every Sunday at 10 am; to take part in weekly lessons in community with one another and a leader. These begin again on January 9th at 10 am, so make sure you mark your calendars!

We will continue to update you when we are ready to gather our kids in person again. We hope and pray that it is VERY soon!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can support you and your children, it is my joy!

In His Love,
Pastor Shauna
