Kidzone: April 9 Update

Apr 9, 2021Kidzone Online

I pray you all had a meaningful and special Easter season together as a family. It was SO fun to see many of you sending pictures or messages about how great a time you had making Easter Resurrection Rolls and participating in the daily devotionals as a family leading up to Good Friday & Resurrection Sunday! Thank you also for joining me on Instagram Live to read “This is the Gospel!” together! What WONDERFUL news that Jesus has BEAT sin & death: He has the victory and has invited each of us to be part of His forever family! We just need to believe and receive Him. The greatest news of all time!

With the new stay-at-home order that has been called, many are feeling weary. Many are feeling downcast. Many of our kids are really feeling the effects of the past year, too. Please make sure you are prioritizing caring for yourself. Please also don’t hesitate to reach out. It is my absolute JOY to encourage & connect with them or yourself over the phone, Zoom, through a porch drop-off, etc…Nobody has to struggle alone through this time. We love you!

PLEASE NOTE: OUR FAMILY-LUAU THEMED DRIVE-THRU IS POSTPONED (not canceled)! We will keep you posted on the new date for this as soon as possible. We want to make this event as safe and fun as possible for your kids and family.

If you have a chance, head to our Resource Page this weekend. We’ve got lots of great resources in our “Devotional & Free Bible” section, the “Mental and Emotional Health” section, and many others. These exist to support and empower you in your parenting and discipleship journey with your kids. This week, we’ve added a couple of new articles highlighting, “6 Truths For Any Special Needs Parent” and “Parents Who Raise Highly Resilient Kids.” You can check those out HERE.

Our next Kidzone Konnection group time for Grade 1-5s will be Sunday, April 18th, so mark those calendars!

As usual, our weekly lessons and activities will be posted by Friday at 4pm on Kidzone Online. Don’t miss them!

It is my prayer that your kids have a great (and much deserved) week off of school. Sending brain hugs to all!

In His Love,
Pastor Shauna
