Kidzone: July 30 Update
Happy Long Weekend, Kidzone Families!
It’s hard to believe we are already entering the beginning of August this weekend. I trust and pray you are all finding and enjoying moments (even if brief!) of rest, relaxation and joy this summer! Don’t forget to join us for the bridge’s weekly online gathering, and to hear more about some in-person opportunities that are approaching for our community! We will be putting out a survey to you very soon, in order to gain a better understanding of how your family is feeling about in-person ministry opportunities for your children this Fall. Stay tuned!
We can’t believe our BOLT VBS- TOTALLY “AD’s,” is NEXT WEEK! For those who are signed up: don’t forget to head on over to https://thebridgemarkham.com/boltvbs/ and scroll down to access each day’s video content starting Tuesday, August 3rd!
All you need is:
o an hour to an hour and a half each day
o a computer or device to access Zoom/Videos
o the simple supplies (refer to webpage)
o an enthusiastic heart that’s excited to learn more about the power of Jesus!
Gather some friends and meet safely together in your backyard to participate in each day, TOGETHER! Don’t forget to also join us for our Zoom Kick-Off at 9:30am on Tuesday, and check-ins at 3:00pm throughout the week! The Zoom information was sent out to all registrants, and will also be sent again with a reminder in the coming days. We’re so pumped for this TOTALLY TUBULAR week!
We’re starting a NEW SERIES for our weekly lesson videos this weekend called, “GOD’S GOOD PLANS”! We are using video-based curriculum from Saddleback Church! These are broken into 2 categories: Early Childhood (2s-SK kids), and Elementary (Grade 1-5 kids). You’ll also still notice some of our familiar faces each week in the videos, as we have worked to keep a personal touch with our own Kidzone volunteers sharing about something called the” SUMMER LOVE CHALLENGE!” These are weekly challenges (the same challenge for both age groups), of practical ways for your kids to love your neighbors and community as a family. This fulfills our “GO!” mission at the bridge! Keep watch on social media each Sunday, as we’ll also be posting the weekly challenges there. We would love to re-post and share pictures of your kids’ participation!
As usual, these video lesson and family resource postings will be updated by Fridays at 4pm on Kidzone Online.
In His Love,
Pastor Shauna
