Kidzone: November 12 Update
We start IN-PERSON Kidzone this weekend at the bridge! It’s hard to believe, but it’s finally here! While still providing our online offerings, we will also be launching in-person Kidzone this Sunday, November 7th with limited capacity. Woohoo! We know that in addition to this looking different than the past due to the pandemic, we are also in a brand-new space for the ministry year. As parents & guardians, you may be wondering what that space looks like and what the routine will be on Sundays with your children. What an absolute blessing it was to begin IN-PERSON Kidzone last weekend at the bridge! We were thrilled to welcome over 30 of our JK-Grade 5’s back in-person to experience worshipping God, learning from His Word, talking to Him through prayer, and having FUN: TOGETHER! What a gift. We would love to welcome YOUR kids to experience safe in-person ministry. Our Kidzone volunteers for Sundays at 3:15pm are fully vaccinated. Remember, registration is happening on bridgeconnect.ca and open Sundays at 7pm for the following week. Service is at 3:15pm and spots are limited, so make sure you sign-up as soon as you can!
43 days until CHRISTMAS! Yup, you heard that right. AND, it’s only 15 days until our Kidzone CHRISTMAS event! We are ecstatic to let you know that we will be partnering with The Olive Branch’s “Kids Branch” ministry this year to present to you, “A NIGHT IN BETHLEHEM!” This will be a special walk- through experience for your children (and their grown up), taking place in TOB’s Atrium and Auditorium on Saturday, November 27th between 1:30-4:30pm. Our Kidzone Konnection Groups are back again for those who registered this Sunday the 14th at 10am! Last week, one of our groups had a creative prayer time where they drew pictures on Zoom for each portion of our “C.A.L.M.” prayer practice! Did you know you can find our prayer practices on our resource page HERE? Please remember to change the name on Zoom to your child’s name to help us get them in the correct break-out room quickly.
We are starting a NEW 4-week Saddleback kids’ series this Sunday called, “Daniel.” This is going to be a good one! “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who live in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself..” (1 Cor. 6:19). Paul’s words in the New Testament urged the church to examine the ways they were treating their bodies, minds, and spirits. What we take in matters! The foods we eat affect our physical health, which can affect our ability to minister and care for our community. The TV we watch and the music we listen to can affect our mood and emotions, or our witness to others. Jesus himself tells us in Matthew 6:45b, “What you say flows from what is your heart.” Daniel, even as a young man, knew that he had a responsibility to pursue good things physically and spiritually! Every day offers us a fresh start and chance to evaluate the things we are taking in. God is always faithful to help us as we choose new, healthier habits physically, emotionally and spiritually: He is the God of new beginnings!
