This year the bridge is hosting two incredible summer camp experiences for your kids! Look below to learn all about what’s coming this summer and how to get your kids registered for each event.

Adventure Bible Camp

July 22-26, 2019

9:00am – 12:00noon | Ages 3 to 10

Send your kids on an impacting safari adventure!

At ROAR ABC, kids discover that even though life gets wild, God is good.  ROAR is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste!  Sciency-fun gizmos, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the stand-out activities that help faith flow into real life.  (Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy.  Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes.)  Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life – something we call God Sightings.

Your kids will also participate in a hands-on mission project, through a program called Operation Kid-to-Kid, that will let the kids in our community show God’s mighty love to children around the world.

Want to impact kids in an incredible way this summer, and have an absolute BLAST doing it?

There are lots of ways to be involved at ABC!  Check out the role descriptions below.  Each role varies in responsibility and time commitment.

Volunteers need to be age 11 or older.  Volunteers age 18 and up must apply for a Vulnerable Sector Check with the police.

We’ll give you more information and will work with you to find the role that best suits YOU.

To have the best time possible, volunteers are asked to attend ONE ABC Training Party. We’ll let you know as soon as these training parties are scheduled.

These are some of the main roles available:

  • Crew Leaders and Assistant Crew Leaders – This is the KEY role at ABC!  You’ll participate in fun activities while building relationships with a group of 5 kids.  You can choose to be with either 3 & 4 year-olds or 5 to 10 year-olds.  You’ll attend a fun ABC Training Party to learn more.  You’ll be required to be at each day of ABC.
  • Station Leaders & Assistants – Organize, oversee, and teach (or assist at) one of the main rotations in each session:  Games, Snacks, Bible Adventures, Imagination Station, KidVid Cinema, and Preschool (the 3 & 4 year-olds’ activities).  Detailed curriculum will be provided.  There is some preparation to be done before ABC, depending on what area you choose.  You’ll be required to be at each day’s ABC.
  • Spotlight ABC – Enjoy photography?  You’ll attend ABC each day and follow a script that outlines specific shots of individuals and groups of children.  Then you’ll drop those photos into a special audiovisual show for each day.  In addition, you’ll be taking a photo of each crew of kids.
  • Decorating/Design Team – Join this great team and transform our church into a place kids can’t wait to hurry back to each day.  Planning will begin in late May; preparation will continue through to July; stage set-up and decorating will take place the week of July 15th.
  • Registration Team – Give a warm welcome to kids and parents as they arrive, and ensure each child is safely checked in.  This takes place from 8:30 to 9:20 am each day. You’ll work with the Registration Co-ordinator to determine which days you’ll be scheduled. A short orientation meeting will be held prior to ABC to give you all the information you’ll need.

Not sure where you fit?  Don’t worry…we’ll work with you to find the perfect role for you!
